Interview Training and a One day course 

Our course has been specifically designed to maximise a students potential without interfering with their yr12 studies. For '08 our notes package will also include a comprehensive Interview Techniques Manual as well as our all new Starter Pack.

It is firmly recommended that students do not partake in any Interview preparation until after they have sat the UMAT as any distraction from maximising their UMAT score may cost them an interview all together. Furthermore NIE specifically runs one day courses for a number of reasons.

Firstly, because we use such highly qualified and experienced teachers and because our manuals are actually valid teaching tools, one day of face to face teaching is all that is required.

Secondly, most yr 12 students do not have two days to waste outside of their main studies.

Finally the issue of prioritising and time constraints is compounded when you consider that much of the extra time of longer courses is spent on interview techniques which are realistically not required for another six months and in reality should not be considered until after candidates have maximised their potential to gain an interview by being as focused as possible on the UMAT itself.

In actual fact our course is not just a one day course. Because our in depth teaching curriculum is mailed out from April onwards, the NIE program is actually an intensive program lasting months. Furthermore, the Platinum program offers the preparing student well over 12 months of intensive training. We also have numerous students who start with us in Year 9 and progress through each modified course until Year 12 when they sit the UMAT with astonishing results.

The comprehensive NIE Interview Techniques Manual is supplied free with your notes. It incorporates self directed learning exercises and developmental tasks that specifically generate an individual profile of each candidate. It then offers banks of practice questions, from real interviews, for the students to work through. The Manual is fully backed by the ongoing free internet and phone support from the staff at NIE.
